although the production increase is calculated in 10000 tons, it still cannot meet the rapidly growing demand. China's silicone monomer enterprises have not slackened their efforts. In view of the current situation that domestic monomers can only meet one-third of the demand and a large number of imported intermediates, they have made plans to expand their production. It is conservatively estimated that during the "Eleventh Five Year Plan" period, the output of methylchlorosilane of domestic enterprises may reach more than 750000 tons/year, surpassing Japan and becoming the world's second largest silicone production and consumption country
